Greenhous technician achieves 'Master Technician' status

Local man Paul Harding, a Wolverhampton-based truck technician working the region’s largest commercial vehicle dealer network Greenhous DAF in Willenhall, has had cause to celebrate having received the coveted accolade of Master Technician. Paul received the accolade having completed his level four technician qualification – the highest qualification possible for a DAF technician to achieve.
Having started at Greenhous DAF with a full apprenticeship in 1999, Paul has since focused on getting as many qualifications under his belt as possible, and having completed an IMIE management course, the DAF apprenticeship and level three DAF training Paul had the Master Technician status firmly in his sights as the ultimate feather in his cap.
Working at Greenhous for the last 11 years, Paul, 29, is one of the younger technicians to achieve Master Technician status with DAF, and was alongside just over 50 other DAF technicians in the UK to achieve this accolade in 2009.
Paul achieved level four status having undergone various rounds of testing alongside thousands of other technicians in the DAF dealer network. Senior technicians were then carefully selected to undergo assessment by DAF whilst just a handful of these technicians going on to actually achieve Master Technician status for the year.
Talking about his achievements, Paul said: “I’m really pleased to have achieved Master Technician status with DAF, and Greenhous has really supported me over the years.”
Wayne Fletcher, Service Director for Greenhous DAF Willenhall, added: “Paul started working at Greenhous in 1999, and had already successfully completed all of DAF’s training programmes. Paul’s latest achievement means that Greenhous now has one of the UK’s top technicians in the DAF dealer network.
“Paul is a highly skilled employee, who has dedicated a huge amount of time and effort into his training and skills, which in turn benefits our customers by ensuring that vehicles are back on the road in the shortest possible time in the event of a breakdown or fault. Paul is a credit to the company.”
