Greenhous helps Pink Skips go green

In an effort to minimise its impact on the environment, Telford-based waste management company Pink Skips has just completed a deal to purchase two DAF FTT XF105 heavy haulage double drive tractor units from Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury, Shropshire’s largest commercial vehicle dealer.
One of the largest total waste management and recycling companies in the West Midlands, Pink Skips has been established for over 30 years and provides customers with a full range of skips, roll on roll off containers, hazardous waste containers, wheelie bins and rear end loaders.
Tony North, Commercial Manager for Pink Skips commented: “Whilst we always endeavour to minimise the amount of waste that needs to go to landfill, inevitably some waste we collect has to be taken there. By investing in these two new larger vehicles, which are EuroV compliant, we are able to use just one vehicle rather than three to take waste to landfill, therefore reducing our emissions and our impact on the environment.
Tony continued: “Our partnership with Greenhous goes back a long way and we have always received both fantastic service and backup from the team there. Another key factor is the residual values of DAF’s vehicles have proved to be strong, and this is very important to us.
