'Trefor Trade' joins Cae Post

As its new commercial recycling venture lifts off in the area, Welshpool-based Cae Post, a charity and social enterprise providing work and training for people with disabilities or disadvantages in the job market, has just bought a new DAF from Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury, Shropshire’s largest commercial vehicle dealer, to make collections with.
With each vehicle on Cae Post’s fleet being named after a character to add a little extra personality, ‘Trefor Trade’, a DAF CF75 6x2, is the latest addition to be used to support the company’s growing recycling centre activities.
Sue Packer, Operations Manager for Cae Post, commented: “As businesses face increasing regulation on how to deal with waste and costs are being driven up year on year by the landfill tax, we’re encouraging companies in and around Welshpool, Powys and Shropshire to start recycling rather than send rubbish to landfill.
“Trefor Trade has been bought especially to cope with the increasing demand for our commercial recycling services, which allow customers a variety of convenient and flexible ways to recycle a wide range of materials including paper, card, plastic, bottles, packaging, containers, film, drinks cans, aluminium foil, glass, textiles and batteries.”
Sue continued: “In 2009, we purchased Dafydd the DAF from Greenhous, and chose them as we wanted to work with a local business with a good reputation. Adding Trefor to our fleet demonstrates our commitment to supporting other businesses in the local area such as Greenhous.”
Graham Waters, Truck Sales Executive for Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury, added: “We are confident that Trefor is going to a good home with Cae Post, and look forward to seeing him helping businesses in the area clean up their area by recycling more.”
